2012 Koup Tire Change for Ride Comfort

Hi everyone, I've been looking to change the tires on my Koup, more to improve the notoriously bumpy ride and road noise. The stock size is 215/45 on the stock 17 inch wheel.

General advice on the forum points to sticking to the original tire size or switching to a 16 inch wheel to accommodate a tire with more sidewall.

I'd like to know if anyone has experience with switching to a 225/45 and if that helped in any way with comfort. And also if anyone has implemented the more radical 205/50 tire on the 17 inch wheel.

I installed 16" wheels and 215/55R 16 tires on my 2010 Forte SX (came with 17" originally). This definitely provided a little more comfort with the larger sidewalls. On the SX the front brakes were larger so I couldn't install 15" wheels.
